The E-marine Plough is recognized globally as setting the standard in cable ploughing, reliably trenching in most soils including clays and sands. Using patented technology, the plough is designed to minimize pull force requirements and provide effective trenching capability from zero to 3m depth. Its performance can be enhanced with jetting and rock ripping upgrades. Coupled with a tow winch, umbilical and LARS system, SMD are able to supply a turnkey cable burial solution.

The E-marine Plough is the industry standard submarine telecoms plough and retains all of the well-proven features and developments of this machine whilst adding the ability to trench progressively deeper with a constant maximum tow force. The plough is robust, designed for strength and endurance but remains light in weight.

As an OPTION the plough may be equipped with a direct driven submersible water pump that provide jetting assistance, which has been shown in service to improve performance by a factor of two to four times. In addition, a unique lightweight armored cable allows jetting to be deployed at up to 1600m water depth.
